Breathe Easier! How to Protect Your Home from Wildfire Smoke

Date:

INDIANAPOLIS—Wildfire smoke can make the air you breathe at home unhealthy. To help, Carrier is sharing some simple tips to keep your indoor air clean and safe. The smoke from these fires contains tiny, harmful particles that can easily get inside your home. Carrier suggests these steps:

Upgrade the air filter in your air conditioner or furnace.

Seal up any cracks around doors and windows.

Use a portable air purifier to clean the air in a room.

“The air inside your home is just as important as the air outside,” said Nick Arch, VP of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “We want to make sure you have the tools to keep your family safe.”

Carrier is also helping out communities in a big way, recently donating $2.5 million in air purifiers to schools and frontline workers in Los Angeles.
