Earlier in the competition, O’Connor delivered an impressive 13.54-second finish in the 100-meter hurdles, securing third place. The heptathlon will continue with the shot put and 200-meter events scheduled for Tuesday. The following day, athletes will face off in the long jump, javelin throw, and 800-meter run, completing the multi-discipline event. O’Connor, already a standout performer, is seen as a strong candidate for the gold medal.
This anticipation is further fueled by the absence of a major rival, Katarina Johnson-Thompson.
