The Russo Brothers, DiCaprio, The Rock: All Fall to an Animated Musical

Date:

Some of the biggest names in Hollywood have fallen to an animated musical. The Russo Brothers, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have all seen their major Netflix projects outperformed by “KPop Demon Hunters.”
The animated film’s 236 million views place it firmly at the top of the Netflix charts. This means it has surpassed “The Gray Man” from the Russo Brothers (139 million views), “Don’t Look Up” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and “Red Notice” starring Dwayne Johnson (231 million views).
This stunning result shows that in the current streaming landscape, even the most powerful and bankable names in the industry are not guaranteed the top spot. A creative and resonant animated film has proven to have more drawing power.
The victory of “KPop Demon Hunters” over these titans of the industry represents a major shift in the balance of power, proving that a great concept can be the biggest star of all.
